Glasgow Employer Coalition joins forces with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

Glasgow Employer Coalition (GEC) joined the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce (GCoC) in a landmark merger in November 2009. Following a process of negotiation between GCoC and the Department for Work and Pensions, GEC officially became part of the Chamber, bringing the two employer services together for the first time.
Stuart Patrick, Chief Executive of the Chamber of Commerce said of the move:
"This is an exciting opportunity for both the Chamber and the Coalition to start working together to improve access to job opportunities for out of work Glaswegians. Creating stronger links between the cities employers and employability services can only serve to help the city as a whole. We are delighted to be the new host employer for GEC and look forward to a strong working partnership."
